My expertise

In my practice we treat a wide variety of illnesses - from respiratory infections to coeliac disease – in consultation and close cooperation with other specialists in our network, as required.

I carry out my treatment based on recognised guidelines. In addition, I regularly take advantage of internal medicine training opportunities to ensure that I can provide you with professional care in line with the latest standards.

Primary care

Almost all of us are familiar with flu-like infections, gastrointestinal problems, physical pain, or even mental health issues.

As your first point of contact for acute treatment and emergencies, I can provide the appropriate therapy for your condition. In individual cases, I will also refer you to a specialist. I will continue to coordinate your treatment.

Vaccinations are an important part of your treatment for me. They protect you from sometimes serious illnesses such as influenza, hepatitis, pneumonia and shingles.

Check up

Between the ages of 18 and 35, the statutory health insurance fund offers a one-off health check-up. From the age of 35, the check-up is financed by the statutory health insurance fund every three years.

Based on this preventative examination, I can detect and treat cardiovascular diseases and diabetes at an early stage.

I attach great importance to a thorough medical history (family history).

At the patient's request, I carry out individual blood tests, such as determining liver, kidney, and thyroid function.

Treatment of cardiovascular diseases

Most chronic diseases of the heart and blood vessels affect older people in particular. The main ones are high blood pressure, coronary heart disease (CHD), heart attack and stroke. In addition to age, risk factors often include lifestyle and genetics.

My goal is to detect these diseases early and initiate the right treatment. At the same time, I will discuss approaches for making healthy lifestyle changes with you.

A healthy heart is essential for a long life.

Treatment of diabetes

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder in which blood sugar levels are permanently too high because the body either does not produce enough of the hormone insulin or cannot use it properly to transport sugar (glucose) into the cells. This can lead to irreversible damage to blood vessels and organs. Being overweight is a major risk factor for this disease.

I therefore place particular emphasis on early treatment. Especially in the early stages of diabetes, targeted medication and other measures can prevent the disease from becoming chronic.
